The Partnership for the Public Good
The Partnership for the Public Good is a community based think and do tank. PPG provides research and advocacy support to a broad array of partners that share a community-oriented vision of a revitalized Buffalo-Niagara. We help community groups have a stronger and better informed voice in public policy debates. We help Buffalo-Niagara to build on assets such as diversity, historic neighborhoods, and natural resources, make progress on problems such as poverty, inequality, and pollution, and bring greater accountability and democracy to local government.
The Public Good Radio show, hosted by Sam Magavern, co-director of PPG, runs live every Tuesday on one of Buffalo's local radio stations. The show is meant to spotlight our partners and other community organizations in an effort to educate the greater Buffalo community. Many of the shows hit on relevant, timely, and important issues that Buffalo faces and that the greater community should be made aware of and have a part in.
